Darfur is far; Darfur is near
But it is far from over, I hear
As millions perish, unloved, uncared
While our dreams forget to bear

Faces are lost; lives despaired
And hopes abandoned forever
We do a lot, they say
But fail, for the enemy is clever

Women die; children cry
And men roam caged, free
Hordes are garnering support, love and relief
Still corpses of hopes hang from every single tree

Friends come; friends go
Peace is the most elusive enemy within
That the powerful are busy burning
Shoving promises in an overflowing bin

Rise man, rise; discover humanity
Let your spirit soar
Fuel the hope of millions
Generate funds and donate love, more and more
